Assign a Licence Group to Variation Product

Starting with version 1.2.4, the WP Software License plugin introduces an innovative feature that allows license groups to be assigned directly to variation/variable products, providing greater flexibility and control over licensing management.

How It Works:

1. Create Licensing Groups:
   Begin by creating your desired licensing groups within the plugin’s settings. These groups will define the specific licensing parameters that can be applied to product variations.

    

2. Assign License Groups to Product Variations:
   Navigate to the Variations tab of your product. For each product option, you’ll find a new setting labeled “License Group.” This intuitive interface allows you to easily assign a specific license group to each variation by selecting it from a dropdown list.
   

    

3. Tailored Licensing for Each Variation:
   By assigning different license groups to each variation, you can tailor the licensing experience for your customers based on their product selection. This enables you to offer a wide range of licensing options, ensuring that each variation is governed by the appropriate terms.

    

4. Optional Licensing:
   It’s important to note that assigning a license group to a variation is entirely optional. If a variation does not have a license group assigned, it will not utilize any licensing functionality, allowing you to maintain flexibility in how you manage product variations.
